Wonders of Nature
Exploring nature is fascinating and intriguing than many people may anticipate. Nature hosts every kind of living and non-living organisms, which in mysterious ways, all survive, despite some creatures being an enemy to other organisms. In this particular study, the focus is on glaciers and creepy creatures in the sea.
Glaciers are known to have been shaping the world for millions of years. Glaciers are massive ice moving slowly over land. Glaciers have been disappearing over the years due to the gradually increasing warm climate on the planet. The disappearance of the glaciers has altered the landscapes and changed the oceans, weather, and life on earth. Glaciers are categorized into two; alpine glaciers (found in all continents, except Australia) and ice sheet glaciers, which are not limited to mountainous areas. Alpine glaciers are associated with the formation of valleys, while ice sheet glaciers are cover surfaces with a large mass of ice. Although global warming has reduced glaciers, glaciers provide freshwater (National Geographic, 2017). The disappearance of glaciers implies that the temperatures and climates are being altered by humanity through various activities.
Sea of Creepy Monsters
The over-brimming life immersed within the sea has fascinated many researchers, who are intrigued by the wonders of the existence of creatures underneath the waters through their research. There are so many creatures in the waters, and which survive on each other. Although some of the creatures are highly fed on by other ‘monstrous’ creatures, they still survive, but narrowly. In a life with large creatures such as sharks, whitetips, tiger sharks, great white sharks, whales, and other big fishes, there are also small creatures who facilitate the survival and coexistence of every living organism underwater (The Secrets of Nature, 2015). Every creature in the sea has its significance; whether the prey or predator, its existence is facilitated survival. The interdependence in the sea contributes to the beauty of nature undersea, until humanity posed a threat to this, through various activities, limiting, or rather end the life of most living creatures and cause genetic disorders among creatures of the sea.
From the scenarios presented in the videos, it is clear that the beauty of nature on the land and in the waters was naturally sustainable until human activities got into the picture. Industrialization and rapidly advancing technological practices, which are implemented in making life efficient, are, on the other hand polluting the environment, posing a threat to the survival of other living organisms. Therefore, in as much as humans are investing efforts to beautify and sustaining the environment, the first approach towards achieving this will be taming humanity activities, which are a threat to a healthy environment.
